Gareth Gates - Unchained Melody

My new crush!
Gareth Gates. <3

Unchained melody.

I never like the old song as I feels that it was way too 'mushy'.
Terlampau jiwang bah.

But Gareth put a new light to the song, and I instantly falls in love with him and the song.
Do click on the video and enjoy the song. ;p

Unchained melody
---------------------------------------------------------
Lonely rivers flow to the sea, to the sea
To the open arms of the sea
Lonely rivers sigh, wait for me, wait for me
I'll be coming home, wait for me

Oh, my love, my darling
I've hungered for your touch
Along, lonely time
and time goes by so slowly
and time can do so much
Are you still mine?

I need your love,
I oh I need your love
God speed your love to me

Lonely rivers flow to the sea, to the sea
to the open arms of the sea
Lonely rivers sigh, wait for me, wait for me
I'll be coming home, wait for me

Oh, my love, my darling
I've hungered for your touch
A long, lonely time
And time goes by so slowly
And time can do so much
Are you still mine?

I need your love,
I oh I need your love
God speed your love to me

Been having this problem since last night, but I thought that it was  just temporary and will go away on the next day. But I was wrong as I'm still facing with the same problem today.
Reported this to facebook help center.
This never happens to me before and so I thought maybe I did something wrong, as in published some offensive materials or someone reported me as being 'annoying' to facebook. And I googled about this matter for a better insight of the problem and it turned out that I'm not alone in this world. ;p
Others is having the same problem too.

Dear facebook, please get well soon. I want to hit the Like button so badly. :)

Being a Sarawakian.

Hello peeps!
Updating my blog after a brief period of inactivity. Hee~

My last post, not counting my latest ramble was about my short trip at Sandakan.
And I'm sorry that I did not keep to my promises and  update on that trip. And lemme just skip that one ei? :p

I'm in Kuching!! ;p
And folks..
Nope.
I'm not some kind of rich man's daughter going for a holiday trip at this place.
Nope.
I'm not the kind of lady that spend my man's money to satisfy my travels need.
And Nope.
I'm certainly is not a working lady going for a work trip or on any family trip.

So.. what does that make me? ;p
A student, going for her elective posting at one of the hospital here at Kuching! hee~

Okie! Enough with the not-so-funny-twisting-chattering above. Lemme just tell you my tales. :)
Well. I finished my fourth year 'schooling' at UMS last month. And before we advance to the final year, we are needed to complete one elective posting. One that needed us to find any hospital that was not in collaboration with UMS for our attachment.
So, we were free to choose any place for that posting. But everything will be under our own expenses, except for the few lucky students  who were picked to be given some sponsorship by the school.
I'm not lucky, so I'm not one of 'em.

And initially, I thought of going to peninsular, as my mom and elder brother was there and my close friends were also planning to go there. And I certainly could not afford to go to any oversea countries for my elective. But lastly, due to some reasons, I changed my mind and chose to go for Sarawak, with my roomie and other friends.
So here I am! :)

Picture speaks a thousand words. So let the picture do the talking.

A view of the grand buildings along the Waterfront. :)

There was also a 'Centre Point' here at Kuching. But the building was smaller in size and not-so merry like Sabah's CP.

There are a number of mall in Kuching. And this one and the one above was just some of it. :)

For those non-Sarawakian, there was a river at the centre of Kuching. Which made up the Waterfront.
And when most of the buildings was at the other side of the river (same side as Waterfront), there was also a small part of the town at the opposite side of that river, at which the food courts  and stores that sells Kek Lapis was situated. You can go to and fro of the river by boats and it only costs RM0.50 per ride. You can see the boat at the second picture above. Quite an experience bah mau naik boat-taxi.. :)

Okie! And theseee will be the foods attacked by us on our first day stay at Kuching.
Venue: Waterfront Food court
Laksa Sarawak

Teh Dangdut.

Kuey Teow Goreng.

Mee Kolok ayam.

Mee goreng.

Nasi Ayam Berempah

Venue: All Joy Restaurant at Wisma Saberkas. (Dinner)
My air sirap.

Mee Jawa.

Mee Kolok Tom Yam?

Paeds one.

Today is a miracle.
I successfully woke up this morning. I was so excited for my new posting that I wake up in time and get out of bed before Mr laziness got hold of me. And its also because I don't want to face another unbearable boredom in my room. :)

So what happened today? Despite the fact that there are 5 of us in the same department, I went to the ward alone today. I walked with my two other friends to the hospital, but they chose different department for their second rotation, so I'm alone in my rotation. Upon reaching the ward, I met with the sister in charged of that ward and also reported myself to the specialist and MOs there. I'm supposed to report duty to the head of paeds department too, but she was not in her office, so, I just skipped her. Hee.

So, I followed the specialist ward round, but haven't start clerking case yet today. I just browsed through the case notes, and finding out the common pediatric case in this place. As I attached myself to the infectious ward just now, most of the cases seen are the usual bronchopneumonia, febrile fits and also bronchiolitis. However, there are also a few interesting case that is rare to be seen in Sabah, like Hand, foot and mouth disease and also Kawasaki's disease. I am determined to read on that diseases and start clerking that particular HFMD case tomorrow. Good luck mi self.

After I finished my 'business' in the Paeds ward, I went to the Obstetric ward to look for my friends. And they were still clerking cases when I went there, and they suggested me to go and clerk a case too, so I tried to brush up my skills and taking Obs history. I randomly chose a woman, whom delivered her baby. I asked her permission for taking her history, and she reluctantly agrees. The history taking for obs case was different from medical cases, and I haven't clerk a single Obs history since last year. So, my skill was quite rusty and maybe that caused uneasiness to the mother and she tried to escape from me. Lol.

What happened was, half way through the history taking, she needed to take her medications and afterward, she kept avoiding my eye contacts and 'purposely' wake her baby up so that she will busied herself and avoiding me. Aigoo. Me knowing her intention straightaway gave up and thanks her for the little time spent on pestering her. Tidak cooperative betul. She didn't say it out, but her body language suggested her intention. :P

We also went to the blood bank today for blood donation. Miraculously, my Hb was good today (13.3) and I passed the first check-up. But, sadly I failed the second round. My blood pressure was low. Not meeting with the donating's criteria. *sob

Swak Update

Time wasted doing nothing.
Money wasted doing zero.

The trip supposed to be a good one, but somehow or other, I've been up to no good since I reached this place.

I'm on my elective trip here in Kuching. And according to the plan, we would spend 5 weeks here for our attachment at different department of the hospital. But, 2 weeks had passed and yet things has not went smoothly according to the initial plan.

For the first week, the first two days were wasted on the administration stuffs, as in waiting for the admin to prepare our name tags and our attachment letters. We can only start our attachment at the respective department when we received our attachment letters.

On Wednesday, we went into the ward for the first time and met with our super nice supervisor.
We followed the Doctor's ward round and I even managed to clerk a medical case that day.
As for the ward round, we followed the round diligently, but, they do the round a lil bit different from my place. The HOs do not present the summary of the cases to their superior here, so, we were quite blur when they were discussing the cases.
On Thursday, we skipped our 'duty' at the ward and went to visits the museums instead. I never thought that I can enjoy myself in that 'antique' place. I envisioned that place to be the same as Sabah's museum, which was quite dull for me. And yet, the museums turned out to be very interesting, especially the one which displays about the ancient animals, etc. And on that night, we also went for a lecture at a prestigious hotel and had had a wonderful buffet dinner. yummy. And not forget to mention that we also went for karaoke that night. :p
And the rest of the weeks was spent on sightseeing and travelling to the famous places of Sarawak.

At the end of the first week, I am sure that time was running through the clock. However, for now, I feels that the clock is ticking in a very slow pace. *aigoo*

The second week was boring~ We were such a lazy ass. Sleep through the day while others was having the times of their life.
I'm hoping for the best for this week. *finger crossed*

The best chicken soup

Its in the middle of the night and I'm craving for my mum's chicken soup.
Yummy. *gosh*
This crazy crave is certainly caused by me missing my dinner.

Nevertheless, since I'm craving for this stuff, and banishing it from my head is impossible, It won't hurt my tummy to reminiscent about the best chicken soup in my world.
google's image

My mom's chicken soup may not be the same as any of the 5 stars restaurant's meal. But it is certainly is one of the best meal I ever had in my life.
My mom cooked it with the simplest ingredient ever, and yet, the soup turned out to be wonderful.
We grows with it, but we seldom has the chance to taste it now.
Yummy. It would be wonderful to be able to taste it again. Soon.

Mom. Do come home. And do make that wonderful chicken soup of yours again. :)

Starting anew

Browsing through the old memories, and be hurt by some of it.
Or.
Browsing through the old memories, and be reminded of all the great memories and amazing people of your life.
The truth is, previously, I had a blog.
One that I greatly treasured. One that I'm really proud with.
My world of escapee. To which I jolted down about my memories.
To which I jolted down about the adventures that I'd been through with my buddies.
And the things that I'd done with my family.
I miss my old blog.

I hate to start something new.
Start to build a mountain from a scrape of dust again.
But, It is better than nothing right.
Nothing came freely.
Invest a little more time, and I get to build my memory log again. ;)

Holla to me. Happy blogging. ;p

Student life is the most precious time in our life?
And we must appreciate every moment spent in this stage of life?
Is it?
So we must appreciate it by enjoying our student's life to the max?
But, this stage of life is also the determining moment of our future.
So, the enjoyment and focus should be balance. Too much enjoyment without giving any effort on the academic will cause you to stumble down to the unwanted path of your life.

But, there is a wide definition for enjoyment.
It can be included in the study and also in leisure.

And, why is it I'm thinking of this kind of thingy only now, at the final stage of my life.
Blah blah blah. There goes my pointless ramble. ;p

No place like it.

Hi ya all.
I'm currently in Sandakan. Drive all the way through to here last wednesday. ;p
And yeah, as if I know how to drive kan. Haha
Well, I got on SIDA (the bus company) and go through a 6 hours bus journey to reach here.

Its been more than 1 year since I last step my foot on the place. The last time I was here was for my 3rd year practical at HDOK.
The place feels familiar. And I still remember and able to imagine all the things that ever happened at this place. And I do still remember HIM. :)

Will update more about the trip later. :)

Dark Mall

We been experiencing black out since yesterday.
And people was saying that it happened throughout Sabah. But, I'm not sure how true is that.
As for yesterday, it happened at around 3am and lasted till around 10am.
It didn't effect me much yesterday, as I am a heavy sleeper and by the time that I woke up, the electricity was back. :p
Then for today, it happened again, I woke up to discover that the fan was not swirling and of course the electric was not there. ~.~
And this afternoon, feeling quite bored at the heaty room, I went to 1 Borneo mall for lunch and planned to buy some stuffs at Giant supermarket. But turned out that even the big mall was experiencing the black out thingy.
The corridors was dark. Candles was being lighten up in some of the stores.
And my lovely Giant store was closed. Wuu~

Interesting experience! Its my first time going to a 'dark' mall. ;p

Hopefully the problem was fix and there will be no more black out for the day to come. :)

Gee <3
