Foodie Affairs: Anjung Selera, Tg Lipat

"Good friends, good books and a sleepy conscience; This is the ideal life."
~Mark Twain

Had a late dinner at Anjung Selera, Tg Lipat Likas last night.
And the ambient was awesome!
I'm so in love with this picture. :)

At Anjung Senja, you can choose to sit indoor or outdoor.
If you love to catch up with the news or drama being played on the TV, you might as well sit indoor.
And if you loves to feel the breeze on your face or sit near to the musical splashing wave's sound, woots, outdoor you go. :)

I'm not a traveller nor a food critique who was on my travelling or food quest.
So I'll not ramble much.

Just sharing the few photos captured before the meal.

Holla! Its me! :)

The friends. Mama Kim and Papa Rodt.

The foods. Chicken wings, satays, and keropok lekor.

Our 'large' OJ. :)

"The true secret of happiness lies in taking a genuine interest in all the details of daily life."
~William Morris

Thats all peeps! Adios.

Papa's Day

Last Sunday was the official date for Papa's day!
And I was home for the celebration.

We had a small appreciation lunch for the Papas.

Frankly saying, I may not be home for it if not for my cousins. Calling me and asking me to do some errand. :)
And, I'm glad that they did. Or else, my papa will be alone for the celebration. :)
He was the one at the center.
From L to R: Cousin, Dad & Uncle.

You may not always be there for me,
But you still are my Dad.
And I know that no matter what happened, you will always be proud of me.

What Makes A Dad
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea.

The generous soul of the nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight.

The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patient of eternity,
The depth of a family need.

Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it... Dad.

Anne Frank: She was one of a kind

" ... in spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart.
I simply can't build up my hopes on a foundation consisting of confusion, misery, and death.
I see the world gradually being turned into a wilderness, I hear the ever approaching thunder, which will destroy us too, I can feel the sufferings of millions and yet, if I look up into the heavens, I think that it will all come right, that this cruelty too will end, and that peace and tranquilty will return again." - Anne Frank

Found this quotation on the net and decided to share it with you guys. I read her book, Diary of a young girl by Anne Frank  many years ago and although I can't remember the details of her story, I still remember how her story affect me. It was a good read and highly recommended for those book lover out there. :)

A lil bio of Anne:
Anne Frank (1929 - 1945), Dutch Jewish diarist; born in Germany. Diary of a Young Girl, entry dated July 15, 1944 (1947)

Frank and her family were hiding in Holland when she wrote this. On August 4, their hiding place would be raided by the police, and they would be sent to German and Dutch concentration camps. All of them except Otto Frank, the father, would perish; Anne died in Bergen-Belsen, a German camp, just two months before the liberation of Holland.

Project Wall

"Glancing at the wall and see nothing.
I'm surrounded by nothing but whiteness.
And What if...
What if it is painted in pink?
Hmm.. Nay~ Troublesome.
And what if, I get some of those cute wall-sticker~"

What if?
Well.. This how it turned out to be~

My blank wall.

And the hero that came to the rescue.

Hey there lil kitty, lets get you a new home. :)

The instructions. Not everything that come from China is unreliable. :)

The rough idea on how it should turned out to be.

Testing with a few stickers first.

And trying to get all the windows on the wall.

Okie. I love you the way you are.

And add a little details.

Completed. Mission accomplished.

It might not be grand, but its better than bland. :)

p/s: Its from Kaison. :)

Book Reviews: Beautiful Chaos

Sorry for the long absent.

My latest possesion! *Grin*
The third book from the Beautiful Creature series!

I had the first and second book, and buying the third series seems like a must when you possess the first and second part of the story.
I had been planning to buy this book with my 1 Malaysia Book vouchers, but the book was magically hidden when I had the vouchers  and mysteriously appears only after I spend all of it. *Sigh*
So.. In the end, I still need to spend extra money for it.

But! But..
Since the book was in my 'must have' book list, I bought it anyway without any bad conscience.
And I was pretty much lucky as Popular was having sales on the day that I decided to adopt this novel back home. :)

Rebate 20% for member. Woots!
The original price was RM36.95, and I was only charged with RM29.55 after the discount.
Saved RM7.39 on it. <3

A lil review on the series~

Ethan has been living his whole lives in the small town of Gatlin, from which he wished he could escape from. However, his once dull live changed when a girl moves into his town and school. The girl, Lena is a caster (The one possess power, including the vampire, werewolf and etc). Ethan was in love with her and a magical connection soon developed between them.
In the caster world, there was the dark and also light forces. And each of the caster power will be determined when they are 17 years old. So, this Lena is going to be 17th soon and the story is mainly about Lena trying to discover herself out and Ethan in discovering the secret laid underneath the 'dull' town. And also the journey and adventures they went through to prevent her from falling to the dark force.

<3 <3

Thats it! I'm gonna spend my day lazying in my cozy room reading this!

Will blog again soon. see ya. :)

Sorry Luv

Got this poem from someone few days ago.

I've never been the type to say what I feel
So basically I keep everything inside
And with you it was no different
I want to tell you, believe me I've tried

But there's part of me that just can't take that chance
So I doubt that you'll ever know
Which may be fine with you, but it's hurting me
I choose not to show it though

I guess I'm your secret admirer
The name seems to fit just right
I don't know what I like about you
But you're on my mind, day and night

Maybe it's the way you look
So sexy that I can't get enough
Or how you make me feel when you come around
I instantly forget all other stuff

Maybe it's the way that you say my name
Or maybe it's the way you smile
Then again it might just be everything
Getting to know you seems worth my while

But I guess I'll never know what it it

My true feelings I could never reveal to you
I'll just admire you from a distance
I'm not sure what else there is to do

I was stunned.
It was too pretty. Too sweet.
And I felt the same way toward someone too.

But to that someone that sent me this poem.
You are sweet.
But are you sure that you mean it.
You may not read this, but you are sweet.
But, I don't believe in love. Sorry.
But, Thanks :)
